The challenge?
To support the development of our team in Portugal, we are looking for an experienced, coastal & port engineer, preferable with a PhD in coastal resilience topics in which hydraulic design and/or physical modelling is integrated.

Critical use of international standards and hydraulic design methodolgies is a key element to support your solutions, as well as knowledge of natural dynamics and system analysis. Do you recognize yourself into this profile? You have:
- A MSc degree or PhD degree in marine/civil engineering and +/- 5 years of experience.
- Critical knowledge of and experience with port & hydraulic design (erosion protection, breakwaters, rock-berms, etc.) and/or coastal engineering, planning and design of maritime structures, ports, harbours and coastal works and related standards and guidelines.
- Skills to perform basic and detailed design of coastal works and adaptations, blended with a passion for nature-based solutions.
- Basic knowledge of geotechnical & structural knowledge.
- Solid Experience with GIS and programming skills, preferable Python.
- Experience applying statistical data analyses.
- A sense for independency and responsibility.
- Communicative fluency and interest in managing projects.
- A flexible, growth-mindset and positive attitude.
- A live-learning attitude.
- Empathy, a constructive attitude to deal with different viewpoints and opinions.
- An interest in adventure, in the unknown and being a pioneer.
